Ronald E. "Ronnie" Sievers

September 8, 1962 — November 14, 2017

Ronald "Ronnie" Edward Sievers, 55, moved on to his next gig on November 14, 2017 in Fort Pierce, Florida. Although he has professed to be from Gotham City, he was born in the Bronx, NY on September 8, 1962 and was the youngest of five children born to June and Lawrence Sievers. He often declared that his mother and father saved the very best for last.

Ever since he was given a guitar at the age of 12 he astounded people with his natural music ability. Not wanting to be the “guy who is out there dancing like a jackass”, he formed his own bands and they played in clubs, events and motorcycle rallies all along the east coast. Performing with Majesty, KrystalBlu, and The Time Machine, among many other gigs along the way, brought him some of his greatest happiness.

He will be especially remembered by his smile that would light up a room and somehow left people wondering is he laughing at me or with me. He could find the humor in everything and was all too willing to share what he found funny until the entire room was laughing, whether appropriate or not. As he said often “f??? them if they can’t take a joke.” He loved his friends and regarded all of them as family. If you became his friend you quickly realized you were friends with him for life.

His wife Janet and his daughters Jessica, Nicole and Brittney were his world. He often spoke of his deep love for his family and how proud he was of them. Over the years, he has become a “father” to all the many friends his daughters would bring home. The Sievers house was the best house to go to because he had a way of letting everyone know they belonged, as long as they did not touch his musical instruments.

He loved music, especially The Beatles. He loved holidays and would have the most decorated house on the block for every occasion. He loved movies, particularly classics like “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken”, “How To Stuff a Wild Bikini” and “I Spit on you Grave.” He loved Batman – no wait – he IS Batman.

He is survived by his amazing wife, Janet; his beautiful daughters, Jessica Sievers, Nicole Sievers, Brittney Sievers; his wonderful mother, June Sievers; his brother, Lawrence Sievers (Rosemarie) and sisters, Sandra Wesson (Scott), Cindy Sievers-Diaz (who he loved best); his brother-in-law, Robert Newman (Chanda) and sister-in-law Nancy Alvarez (Sandro). Nieces and nephews, Ronald Salerno (Mindy), Lawrence Sievers (Christine), Ashley Quomo (Joe), Michael Sievers (Katie), Rebekah Fandrei (Graham), Katrina Diaz-Bane (Bobby Lee), Spencer Diaz (Baoxia), Sandro Alvarez Jr., Alex Alvarez; four great nephews and four great nieces, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is predeceased by his brother Dominick J. Sievers and his father, Lawrence E. Sievers.
