Robert (Bobby) E. Deihl

Bobby was born in East Stroudsburg, PA, in 1946. He played baseball and wrestled in high school. At 19 he was drafted to the Vietnam War and served his tour as a field medic. He married Sandie Sasala in 1971. They had two children, a son Ramie and daughter Salena. After owning successful businesses in PA, they decided to move south to sunny Florida in 1984.

He was an avid fisherman who you could find on Deerfield Pier every weekend. He loved nature and created certified butterfly gardens in all his yards. He loved all animals, but especially dogs. He was a supporter of Veteran causes and a member of many military clubs.

Bobby was well loved and respected by all his friends, neighbors and extended family. He was a devoted husband of almost 50 years to Sandie and loved her dearly.

He is survived by his wife Sandie, their son Ramie of Delray Beach, FL, their daughter Salena Halvonik of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and his granddaughter Zoie Deihl. He is also survived by his twin sisters, June & Joan Smith of Stroudsburg, PA as well as his son and daughter-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Private family funeral services will take place at South Florida National Cemetery. Those wishing to honor his life can make a donation to:
