Robert F. Carey passed away peacefully on January 9, 2021.

He was predeceased by his parents, Henry Carey and Nellie Beirne; sister, Helen Hoffman; brothers, Joseph, Carl, Jackie, Leonard and Harold. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth H. Ivans Carey, daughters and son-in-law, Susanne and David Smith, also of Port St. Lucie, FL, and daughter Barbara Chintala of Wrightstown, NJ, granddaughter and husband, Jennifer and Michael Benedetti and granddaughter Heather Smith of Port St. Lucie, FL and great-grandson Kolten Hawker and several nieces and nephews.

Robert grew up in Trenton, NJ. He was a graduate of Trenton Catholic High School and was a veteran of the United States Naval Reserves. He was active in St. Gregory the Great Parish and its Holy Name Society and parish council as well as the Mercer County Federation of Holy Name Members and was past president of the Holy Name Bowling League. He served as eucharist minister and minister of the sick for 40 years. Robert retired from AT&T in Trenton after 40 years of service and worked for the Medical Society of New Jersey for five years. Robert moved to Melbourne, FL because he enjoyed the area and the weather especially for golfing. He was active in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Community. He served as eucharist minister and minister of the sick. He enjoyed the weather, golf, and bowling on both coasts.

A memorial Mass will be held for Robert at a future date due to COVID.
