Raphael Nathaniel Bowen, 54, of Port St. Lucie passed away at his residence on March 19, 2019.
Raphael was born on the island of St. Kitts but raised on the Island of St. Croix. He was a resident of Port Saint Lucie for over 16 years.
Raphael, also affectionately known as “Raphy” loved horses and spent countless hours taking care of and riding horses as a teen. His children were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalind Washington-Bowen; daughters: Crystal and Amber Bowen; step-mother; Norma Bowen; sisters, Zerelda and Leona Bowen, Melrose Macedon-Bowen, and Franlian Ash-Bowen; brothers Austin O. and Joseph Bowen; Nieces; Michelle Bowen, Shantee Williams, Rebecca Ash-Cervantes; Nephews: Adrian Francis, Najyeme Macedon, Albert Ash II, Dave Ash, Zechariah Ash, Joseph Bowen Jr, Devonta Bowen, and Saharat Thongphan; Great Nieces: D’Ajah Edwards, Ja’nae Francis, A’vaya Francis; Great Nephew: Nayshaun Edwards; brothers-in-laws: Albert Ash and Alvin Washington
He is also survived by other extended relatives; The Maynard, Rogers, Joseph, Tyson, Galloway, Turner, and Carter Families. Special Friends, Lorna, Faye, and Vicky-Lyn Ashby and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Raphael is preceded in death by his father; Austin Bowen, mother; Doreen Maynard-Bowen, Brother; Dave Bowen, mother-in-law; Bonnie Washington and Father-in-law; Willie Washington.
A viewing will be held on Thursday March 28, 2019 from 4-6PM at Haisley Funeral Home Tribute Center: 2041 S.W. Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34984, and the Funeral will be held on Friday March 29, 2019 starting at 11:00 AM at Morningside Church main campus: 2180 S.E. Morningside Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952.
