Randle Glenn Bennett

September 15, 1955 — August 30, 2019

On Friday, August 30th, 2019, Randle Glenn Bennett, known by all as Glenn, passed away at the age of 63.

Glenn was born in Orlando, Florida on September 15th, 1955 to his mother Hazel and his late father Randle. Growing up, Glenn attended Powers Drive Baptist Church and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Maynard Evans High School in 1973.

After high school, Glenn began working at the family business, Bennett Truck Equipment. Eventually, he served as co-owner of the company alongside his brother Randy. Sales was Glenn’s passion in business. He worked in auto sales around Central Florida after leaving the family business, and earned one of the top salesmen positions in the country for Mazda. He finished his new and used truck equipment sales career at Stamm Manufacturing in the summer of 2019.

Glenn is survived by his two sons Joshua, Jonathan, his daughter Jessica and their spouses, their mother Janice, six grandchildren and his mother Hazel. He is also survived by sister Brenda, brothers Randy and Chuck, and their spouses. There are also many other family members who will miss him greatly.

Glenn always had a story to share, a joke to tell, and an adventure to take. He talked fondly about his childhood in Orlando and boating on St. Johns River. He also treasured the times he had on Johns Lake with his children and at Winter Garden’s First Baptist Church with the youth group. Glenn was an avid NASCAR fan who often took his children to races. He even owned a racecar for a time and raced it locally. This is just one example of the dynamic, energetic way Glenn chose to live his life.

A memorial service for Glenn will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 2019, at 2:00pm at Winter Garden’s First Baptist Church. (125 Plant St. Winter Garden) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edgewood Children’s Ranch in Glenn’s honor.
