Ramon “Ray” L. Ruiz
Fort Pierce, Florida

Ramon “Ray” L. Ruiz, beloved husband and father, passed away in the arms of his adoring family at their home in Fort Pierce, FL at the age of 75. He can only be described as a “once in a lifetime” husband, father, “Papa” and friend.

Ray was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, “La Isla de Encanto”. He was admired by all for the unending love he had for his wife of 46 years, Leany P. Ruiz. Their marriage will always be an example of the unconditional love a devoted husband should have for his wife. She was truly his greatest treasure on earth.

He was a loving and classically over-protective “Spanish dad” whose advice and fatherly love will be missed every day.

One of Ray’s most proud achievements was being baptized hand in hand with his wife as Witnesses of Jehovah. His faith in the Word of the bible and the sense of community and family provided by their congregation gave him the strength he needed to face hardships in life.

Ray’s heart was always abundantly filled with empathy and compassion. He was known for his intense loyalty and unconditional love towards any creature or person who needed it.

He will always be remembered for his warm and charismatic personality which left a lasting impression on others. Those who knew him appreciated his heartfelt wisdom and could count on a good laugh. The smile he left in their hearts lasted long after they parted ways.

His Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Leany P. Ruiz; children, Leany J. Ruiz (Danny L. Babcock Jr), Mayra Ruiz (Sylvester MacPherson), and Michael Ruiz (Donna Ruiz), 8 grandchildren (Carina, Charlotte, Trinity, Alana, Brandon, Gianna, Amanda and Derek) and loving sisters, Haydee Ruiz-Cardenas & Ileana Ruiz.

Please pray for them as they mourn the loss of a great man in their lives. An intimate family memorial will be held to celebrate the life and many stories of Ray Ruiz.
