Peter "Rick" Joseph Destefano

Peter “Rick” Joseph DeStefano, 88, passed away on March 11, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Peter was born on November 18, 1931 in New Haven, CT and moved to Port St. Lucie, FL. in 1998.
He was a “jack of all trades” and very handy, especially working on his home, he was proud of it and always wanted it to be beautiful. Peter was a jokester and loved to laugh and making others laugh as well. He also had a passion for bowling and was on a traveling bowling team in Connecticut. Other loves included traveling and going on cruises and visiting Disney World.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years; Beverly Eva (Marcheggiani) DeStefano of Port St. Lucie, FL.; daughter, Gina King of West Haven, CT; grandchildren; Nicole Jones of Orange, CT, Rick Ziegler of West Haven, CT, Michael Ziegler of West Haven, CT., Karisa Ellis of West Haven, CT.; great-grandchildren, Asiah, Angela, Aaliyah, Caitlyn, Cali, Landon, Rocco and Madlyn; Debby Gagliardi, who was like a daughter to him; Niece, Jean (Joe) Ortowski, Nephews, Rich (Deborah) Dagliere,Jr., Mark (Suzanne) Dagliere.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Blanche Jones.
