Owen was born on January 9, 1942 in Oak Bluffs, MA He was married to Brenda A Rabbitt (Heuer) from 1966 until his death. He passed away peacefully on the morning of October 24, 2019 at Tiffany Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with his loving
family at his side.
Owen was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard, and worked at Apple Machine, and Supply Company here in Fort Pierce. He attended, and was active at Abundant Life Ministries of Stuart, and Northside Worship Center of Fort Pierce with wife Brenda. He spent most of his life enjoying golfing, fishing, traveling, and spending time with family. Owen was involved, and faithfully contributed to many charities such as St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, to name a few.
Owen is survived by his wife Brenda A Rabbitt of Fort Pierce, FL, son Terry Rabbitt of San Diego, CA, son Raymond Rabbitt of Valdosta, GA, His mother Clara Silva Rabbitt of Vineyard Haven, MA, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father Owen James Rabbitt Sr, brother, Richard Rabbitt, daughter Leslie Ann Rabbitt Felix, and daughter Donna Lee Rabbitt.
