Michael Cary Meeds Jr.

June 11, 1976 — February 19, 2018

Michael C. Meeds Jr., 41, was welcomed home with loving arms by his late mother, Anne, and his grandparents on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at his home in Port St. Lucie.

He was born June 11, 1976, in West Palm Beach, the son of Michael Meeds Sr. and the late Anne (Tedder) Meeds. He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for several years.

Mike leaves behind five children that he loved more than anything in this world, Savanna, Justin, Erik, Andrew and Tyler Meeds. Tyler is a US Marine, which made Mike beam with pride and joy every time he'd mention his name!

He leaves behind uncles, an aunt, cousins and true friends, The Hill Family were all his family (from another mother as he'd laugh and say) and he loved them dearly.

He leaves behind two sisters, Michelle (Michael) Jones and Amanda (Michael) Miller and two brothers, Bradley Meeds and Charles Tedder. Also, two nephews, Kenny and Richie Jones.

Mike from the very beginning was always on the go, always loved being outdoors and always wanting to be around friends and family. Often you could see him off in the distance watching over everyone making sure they were all happy. That's what brought him joy! As we are sure he will be doing now!

He was known for making everyone laugh, being there for anyone, anywhere, anytime, when in need. He's given his last penny so others could get a bite to eat while not knowing if he'd have any more food that day.

His sister, Michelle, has lost her protector she had had her entire life once he was born! There was never a time she could remember looking back where he hasn't showed up for her or fought battles for her that made her look strong when it was him all along. He was her first friend and she will never ever have the hole in her heart filled until she sees him again.

He was his brother, Brad's, best friend and where you saw one close behind, you'd always see the other. They shared a bond that will never be broken.

There are so many memories we all will hold close to our heart.

He will forever be remembered as being loyal, generous, funny, loving, strong, fierce and quite frankly one of the most courageous people you'd ever know, for he fought a battle that he didn't win and instead he just stepped out of the fight to claim his the prize he so well deserved. Welcome home, Son, we've been waiting for you!

2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident I say
and we prefer to be away
from the body and at
home with the Lord
