Michael “Pickles” William Martin

Michael Martin, 57, of Port St Lucie Florida passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2020 while working in Michigan.

Mike was born on August 18th, 1962 in Oswego, New York.

Mike was a lifelong traveling nuclear worker at many facilities across the country. He worked in several areas of the nuclear industry throughout his career from Decon, Radiation Protection, and then into nuclear safety. The “Pickle” was also a biker at heart and a proud member of the “Azz Dogz” whom he rode with for many years. He always loved his trips to New York and enjoyed attending the Azz Dogz events where he got to visit with his Azz Dogz family.

Mike is survived by his wife of 25 long years, Patti Lisk Martin of Port Saint Lucie whom he battled with frequently but always knew they would be together until the end; daughters, Casie (Adam) Lytle of Oswego, and Allison Martin of Port Saint Lucie; Grandson, Collin Lytle; Beloved dogs, Cooper and Holly; Grand-Dogs, Mowgli, and Mia; his father, Michael W. Martin Sr. of Pulaski; his mother, Brenda Pepper of Scriba; Brothers, Billy (Tanya) Martin of South Carolina and M.J Martin of Pulaski; Sister, Donna Buskey of Scriba; Brother In Law, Jerry (Gloria) Buskey; Nieces, Kristy, Mindy, Shiyanne, Tamara, and Brianne; Nephews, Nick, Korey, Brandon, and Nick; also there are a couple of other brothers which he does not claim.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald Pepper and stepmother, Mick Martin.

Services for Mike are being held at Haisley Tribute Center in Port Saint Lucie on February 29th, 2020 from 2:30 to 4:30pm. There will also be one hell of a celebration of life for the Pickle in Oswego, New York. Bikes, beer, music, possible dwarf tossing, and lots of stupidity just the way Mike would have wanted. Date for his celebration of life is to be determined.

Any contributions can be made to “Paws Across Oswego County” or “Dogs and Cats Forever”.
