Maureen Newman of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away on May 31, 2021 peacefully at her daughter’s home surrounded by family. Maureen was born May 3, 1945 to Daniel and Gladys O’Connor in Brooklyn, New York.

Maureen is survived by her sister, Diane Tona; her daughters, Danielle (Raymond) Howell, Kelly (Joseph) Coleman; her grandchildren, Kyle Coleman, Christopher Joseph Hill (US Navy), Brendan (US Marine Corps) (Cassidy) Coleman, Catherine Coleman, Sydney Hill (US Navy); her beloved cockatiel, Sunny; as well as many adored cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Maureen is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Gladys O’Connor; her niece, Dawn Johnson, and her brother-in-law, Peter Tona.

Maureen actively served her community in real estate as an associate broker for 25 years. She was a devout Catholic and was devoted to her faith. Maureen was a professional dancer in her youth and was a lover of all music. She was deeply dedicated to her family and her friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 5PM to 7PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St Lucie, FL 34984. A Mass will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11AM at St. Lucie Catholic Church 290 SW Prima Vista Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34983.
