Marvin B. Nolen passed away peacefully at Lawnwood Medical Center in Fort Pierce, FL.
Marvin B. Nolen, Jr. was born on January 31, 1923 in Natchez, Mississippi.
He married Catherine Elizabeth McNair (Kitty) and from their union was born Mary Catherine Nolen Krause and Marvin B. Nolen, III.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Kitty and son, Marvin B. Nolen, III.
Survivors include Daughter, Mary Catherine Nolen Krause and son-in-law, Albert E. Krause of Fort Pierce, FL; Grandchildren, Heather Nolen Clark, Kennesaw, GA; Martha Elizabeth Jones, Knoxville, TN; Jessica Ann Weeks, Madison, MS; Amanda Catherine Fetscher, Tequesta, FL; Dr. Albert Krause, Shreveport, LA and 10 great grandchildren.
Marvin was employed at Sicily Gravel Company in Sicily Island, LA until retirement. He was a Mason and a member of Acacia Shriners in Baton Rouge. He was a lifetime member of the Sicily Island Methodist Church and served as a Council member on the Village of Sicily Island Town Council. He also served as a member of Rotary Club and Sicily Island Tigers Booster Club.
He enjoyed sports and loved to watch Football and Basketball games. Especially the Sicily Island Tigers and the LSU Tigers.
Services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Sicily Island Methodist Church at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 at the church.
In Lieu flowers donations can be made to the Sicily Island Methodist Church or Shriners Children Hospital.
