Marilyn Rose Miko

October 21, 1950 — April 18, 2020

Marilyn Rose Miko, age 69, a resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020.

She was born October 21,1950 in Queens, New York, the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella Cottone.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Miko, brother, Joseph Cottone and her grandchildren Donovan Elmore and Jonathan Elmore.

Marilyn was a cosmetologist most of her life. She was the director of Babylon Beauty school as well as manager of many upscale salons. She made a career change into retail later in life where she worked at Dillards for a good amount of years. She enjoyed her work until it was time for retirement.

Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and especially adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, and sewing. Marilyn was full of laughter and joy. She was always concerned about others. She would commonly ask friends and family members alike how they were and their families. She was always checking in on everyone to make sure they were ok. And anyone that knew Marilyn knew that you were never to be hungry in her presence. The grief that is felt by her physically not being here is monumental. She was a devout catholic and believed that God would take care of all. She is an angel now in heaven.
