February 2, 1959 — January 18, 2021

Lynn M. Laporte, 61, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away at Tradition Hospital, surrounded by her family on January 18, 2021.

Lynn was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on February 2, 1959 to Michael and Lucille Petroraio.
In 1980, Lynn moved from Waterbury to Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Survivors include; sons, Fred Quadrato of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Brad (Angela) Laporte of Riverview, Florida; grandchildren, Addisyn and Cameron Laporte of Riverview, Florida; brother, Michael (Kathy) F. Petroraio of Port St. Lucie, Florida. She was predeceased by her parents, Lucille and Michael W. Petroraio.

Lynn had many professions throughout her life, but none made her prouder than her passion for teaching children. She loved arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, and she always had a soft spot for animals, especially cats. She was a selfless, strong, and beautiful person with a great sense of humor. She always carried an unparalleled work ethic and devotion to everything in her life. She was well-loved by everybody who knew her and was adored by all her children and grandchildren. Lynn’s greatest love was her family. She treasured the precious moments with her family and friends and always enjoyed even the little things in life. She had a glowing presence and beautiful smile that always brought a spark and warmth to a place whenever she was around. She always put the needs and wishes of her family and friends above her own, and her incredible selflessness was always appreciated and admired. She had a joyful enthusiasm for all holidays and birthdays which propelled her to search for the most thoughtful and creative gift ideas because she loved envisioning that priceless happiness in the faces of those receiving her blessings. Lynn bestowed invaluable life lessons to the ones closest to her that they will forever cherish and pass on to others. She was the epitome of strength and her willingness to help others and always think about everyone around her was truly inspiring. She was faced with many hardships in life, but she always managed to persevere and breach through the other side as a stronger person. She encountered multiple battles with cancer during her life journey, but always stayed positive and strong for both herself and everybody around her. She made people realize how unexpected life can be and that we must learn to cherish every moment we have with each other. She affected so many people in a positive way, and it is a blessing to know that she will continue to live on in each of us in her own special way. Lynn worked tirelessly her entire life to provide for her family and friends and she deserved so much more than the hand she was dealt, and she most definitely deserved more time; however, she undoubtedly lived her life with a genuine joy and love for the world every single day. She blessed everyone in her life with so many wonderful memories and the world must always be reminded of what an amazing person she truly was. We love you; we miss you; we appreciate you; we thank you; and know that you will always live on in our hearts, in our memories, and in our lives. Lynn will be greatly missed, but she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
