Lucille (Wezyk) Neff

February 12, 1944 — February 11, 2020

Mrs. Lucille Neff (Wezyk) of Port St. Lucie was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on February 11, 2020.

Lucille is survived by David Neff, her very dedicated and attentive husband. Brothers, Mike, Ted (Linda), Franklin and Bobby Wezyk. She is also survived by Charlie Beers, the father of her three sons; Jim Beers of Littleton, CO, Tim Beers (Jeannine) and Steven Beers (Helena) of Port St. Lucie, FL, as well as David’s children, Theresa Stanley (Jerry) of Oklahoma city, OK, Benjamin Neff (Candis) of Tulsa, OK, Missy Neff of Ohio and Tina Coleman of West Virginia.

Lucille was an incredible Grandma to 21 grandkids and 7 great grands. She also has many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child and she was a powerful force in our village. Lucille loved children of all ages. She helped raise many throughout her life and loved them as if they were her own. Cherished memories were made through special trips, endless sleepovers, New Years Eve parties, bowling and so much more.

Lucille was born February 12, 1944 in Ft. Pierce, FL. to Jesse and Frank Wezyk. Miami was home before and after a brief move to New York in her teen years. Port St Lucie has been her home since 1980.

Lucille was a very proud Mom. All three of her boys were taught to respect others, led by her example. Her kind and compassionate heart is reflected in them. Having all boys, Lucille loved sports. Her favorites were the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Orioles and the Boston Celtics and NASCAR. She enjoyed the action and thrill of competition. She shared her love of card games with the family as well. Many memories were made around the poker table. Lucille also loved to hunt for a bargain, whether it was at the mall, flea market or thrift stores. She also had a sewing project going on almost all the time. The most memorable would have to be the octopus!

Lucille always included you. She wanted to know your story. She was always willing to help if need be. She made it a point to make you feel special. Being a magnificent baker, she showed her love by creating special cakes for your birthday. It was also important for her to see you on your birthday. Thankfully, she replicated her cookbook for her granddaughters, so they can carry on her delicious traditions.

Lucille will be deeply missed by so many, but we can take comfort in knowing her pain has ended and she is with her Savior.
