Kimberly Louise Johnson-Rieger

November 19, 1970 - April 26, 2022

Kimberly Louise Johnson-Rieger, 51, beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, granny and friend, passed peacefully at home on April 26, 2022, after an 8-month battle with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. She was born November 19, 1970, in Middlesboro, Kentucky. She was a graduate of The Sayre School in Lexington. She attended the University of Kentucky, graduating with a History Degree and an enormous passion for UK basketball. Kimberly met the love of her life, David Rieger, in Atlanta and married December 13, 1996. They shared their silver anniversary together this year after 25 years of marriage. David and Kimberly shared a love for each other that most spend a lifetime pursuing. Through David, Kimberly was blessed with 3 children whom she loved as her own. In 2006, Kimberly welcomed a son, David L. Rieger II, into this world. Kimberly had an entrepreneurial spirit and over the years built many successful businesses. She worked with her husband in Atlanta, New York, and Florida. Kimberly was a graduate gemologist and Secretary and Treasurer of the Gemological Institute of America Alumni for the Manhattan Chapter and then became President of the GIA Alumni of Florida. Kimberly won the Golden Apple award for Fusion from Jewelers of America in 2001. One of her proudest accomplishments over the years was building and running one of the top 10 Jewelry stores in America according to Instore Magazine. Kimberly also graduated from the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce Leadership. After traveling the globe and leaving her successes in the jewelry world, she embarked on a new adventure with David. Together, they started and successfully built a development and construction firm, Regatta Building and Development II and Center Pointe Realty Group, where Kimberly was the Broker. Always able to balance her time between business and family, she was certainly the matriarch. Kimberly was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She lit up every room she walked into with her smile and charm. Kimberly was ambitious, inspiring, and purehearted. She loved her husband, family, and friends unconditionally. Kimberly is survived by her husband, David Rieger, of Saint Cloud, father, Samuel Johnson, of Saint Cloud, sister Olivia Johnson Scholz, of Myrtle Beach, son, Joshua Rieger, of Saint Cloud, son, Justin Rieger, of Jensen Beach, daughter, Jennifer Rieger, of Saint Cloud, son, David Rieger II, of Saint Cloud, granddaughters, Kyleigh and Kinsleigh, grandson, Wyatt, niece, Samantha, nephew, August, bonus children, Tiffany Weck, of Tampa and Brandon Block, of New York. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Laura Lou Myers Johnson. Kimberly will be missed dearly but will remain in our hearts forever. “When we lose someone we love, we must not learn to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind” A celebration of life will be planned in the near future.
