Juanita Dacamara Hill

January 29, 1950 — September 16, 2022

Juanita DaCamara Hill

Our “High Roller of all High Rollers” passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday Sept 16th, 2022 after a long battle with breast cancer.

Juanita was born on January 29th, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA. Her parents Juanita Valda & William Harley DaCamara raised their family in Boca Raton Florida. She grew up on the water fishing, swimming & crabbing with her dad and brothers Bill, Danny & Stevie. Juanita had many long-lasting friendships and always made new friends wherever she went.

She would later marry, start a family, and begin working in the 1970s with 3 children and an entrepreneur mindset. It was then that she started her long-time involvement with BPW, Business & Professional Women. She joined BPW in Portland, Maine, and was later the President of the New England territory empowering many women.

Juanita was a presence in everything she did. A fierce businesswoman in a time when women did not own or run their own businesses. She did it and did it well. She owned Casco Services in Portland, Maine. A successful business that she moved to Florida along with her family in the mid '80s. She went on to own several more businesses in Florida. She was involved in many local non-profits and was a member of the Ft Pierce Elk's Club as an "Elkette" #1520, American Legion Post #40, and Eagles Club #3582. As a young mother, she was also active with Girl Scouts.

Juanita lived life to the fullest, always ready for adventure with the top down in the Mustang 5.0 & the music playing! She was an avid golfer at Indian Hills, Gator Trace, and Meadowood Country Clubs. She enjoyed traveling the world and hitting any casino within reach. In Life & Love, she was always ALL IN! Whether it was a formal event, a casual camping trip, a Gator, Deer, or turkey hunt she was up for it. She loved her family & friends with all her heart and if you were one of those lucky ones, you knew it. She always made you feel "special". Whether she was putting you in a limo to go to dinner at PV Martins or a quick jaunt to the Bahamas on the Casino’s private plane, you felt a true sense of life when you were around her.

She was beautiful, kind, and classy. As her children, we always knew how lucky we were that she was our Mother.

Now, she is sitting in Heaven’s Casino, pain-free with a Grand Marnier straight up and having a cigarette. She’s getting the party started!

Juanita is preceded by her parents Juanita V. DaCamara, William H. DaCamara, brothers Daniel Lee and Stephen H. DaCamara.

She is survived by her only son Eric L. Letourneau Sr of Ft Pierce, daughters Cynthia L. O'Connell (Tim) of Ft Pierce, and Jennifer A. Broder (Kent) of Suffield, CT. Adored Grandchildren Eric Jr (Katy), Keegan (Cierra) of Coco Beach, Jackson Heon of East Lansing, MI & Lillian Broder of Suffield, CT. Also, her brother William DaCamara IV (Melinda) of Millsboro, Delaware and step-mother Louise DaCamara of Boynton Beach, FL. Great-Grandchildren Winston, Theodore & Amelia Letourneau. Along with so many dear cousins, friends, and neighbors that she has loved over the years. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Treasure Coast Hospice in Juanita's name.
