Joseph S. Janis
February 17, 1931 — September 27, 2019
Joseph was born in Sayreville, New Jersey to Joseph Januszewski and Stella Bogdzio Januszewski. In 1965 he moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL. before relocating to Stuart, FL. in 1975.
Joseph proudly served our Country in the United States Marine Corp as well as being in the Korean War. After he was honorably discharged from the Marines, he pursued a career in the pool industry. He was Vice President of Rule Pool Maintenance Company in the 1970’s and later founded Sandpiper Pools. He went on to work for SCP Pools for 23 years before retiring.
Survivors include his sister; Helen Kupcho of NJ; daughters; Joanne Clemente of NJ, Patty Gerback of SC, and Betsy Sorge of MI; 7 grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, brother John Januszewski, and his daughter Janet Januszewski.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 5:00-6:00 PM with a Wake at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, FL. 34947. A Reception is to follow in the Reception Center after the Wake. His final resting place will be in Sayreville, New Jersey.
