Chico was born in Puerto Rico December 15, 1959 to Maria Mercedes Gonzalez and Jose Matias. He later relocated to Fort Pierce, FL where he attended Fort Pierce Central High School and became a Taxi business owner. The most important thing in his life was his family whom he loved very much.
Chico is survived by his wife, Irene Matias of Fort Pierce, FL; Sons, Jose and Samuel Matias both of Fort Pierce, FL; Sisters, Soldonia Feliciano of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Carmen Matias of Bayamon, PR, and Maria Matias of Fort Pierce, FL. He is predeceased by his parents, Maria Gonzalez and Jose Matias.
Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 PM with a service to follow at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
