Mr. Young was born in Clarksville, Arkansas, was raised in San Diego, California and moved to Fort Pierce in 2005 coming from Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
John worked for NOAA, US Fish and Wildlife Services in Portland, Oregon. He loved surfing, kite surfing and bicycle riding. John's favorite author was John Steinbeck.
Survivors include his wife, Jillanne McInnis of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Regan Young of San Diego, CA; stepdaughters, Kim McInnis of Tequesta, FL, Kelly McInnis of West Palm Beach, FL and Sarah McInnis of Jensen Beach, FL; granddaughter, December Young of San Diego, CA.
Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 12:00 PM–1:00 PM with a service to follow at 1:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
