John G. Tarr, 70, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away February 27, 2021 in West Palm Beach, Florida. John was born on June 25, 1950 in Gloucester, MA to John and Helen Tarr. He graduated from Rockport High School in 1969, after graduation he joined the United States Navy. He married Sally (Azevedo) Orlando on May 29, 2005. John welcomed everyone into his store Matt’s Sports Plus in Gloucester, MA where he enjoyed the many friendships he made there. He was an avid New England sports fan. John was friendly and kind with a huge smile and a big heart. He enjoyed traveling and was a member of American Legion Post #318 in Port St. Lucie, FL. Survivors include loving wife, Sally Tarr; son, Matthew A. Tarr and wife, Lisa of Gloucester MA; daughter, Jodi L. Orlando of Port Saint Lucie, FL ; grandchildren, Ryan and Kylie Tarr.
