John S. Saleeby

John S. Saleeby, 91, passed away on December 11, 2020 in Boca Raton, Florida.

Mr. Saleeby was born on December 4, 1929 in Plant City, Florida and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Ogle Thorpe University and was a professor at the Christian College of Georgia. John pastored at numerous First Christian Churches Disciples of Christ across the United States. He was a member of the First Christian Church and loved reading, teaching and learning.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Saleeby of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Richard Said Saleeby of West Palm Beach, FL; nephew, Burton Saleeby of St. Augustine, FL; nieces, Amy Saleeby and Stephanie Wortz both of St. Augustine, FL; nephews, Edward Jarvis of Fort Pierce, FL, Van Garner and Barry McNeil; and nieces, Jeanne Newson of Fort Pierce, FL and Patricia Atkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Hattie Saleeby; brother, George Abraham Saleeby and niece, Simone Saleeby Applebee.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at First Christian Church, 1927 27th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida 32960. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
