John "Chip" Arbia

November 19, 1935 — February 27, 2021

John “Chip” Arbia died on Feb 27, 2021 in Ft Pierce FL. He was born in The Bronx NY and was a lifelong resident of West Long Branch NJ until he retired to Fort Pierce FL with his wife of 64 years.

He was an army veteran, police officer, exempt fireman, mail carrier, and member of the fire and security department at Monmouth Park Racetrack.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Eloise Bova Arbia, 4 loving daughters and spouses, Kathi & George Houlis, Kelly Arbia & Stephen Orloff, Kris & Frank Ruscil, and Karole & John Aspinwall. He has 6 grandchildren whom he adored. Anthony & Ali Houlis, Karli & Robert Osgoodby, and Gina & Erika Ruscil.

He was predeceased by his loving parents John & Lillian Arbia and his brother Nick. Surviving are his sister Mary Lou and husband Mario Ercolino and Sister In Law Judy Huewe. He is also survived by his loving brother and sister in laws Greg & Marge Bova, Mary & Nick Cammarano, and Joe Bova. He has many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.

A private family ceremony was held to honor his wishes. His family would like to thank Treasure Coast Hospice for providing us a caring warm environment where we spent the day kissing and cuddling him and telling him all our final thoughts. Memorials may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5000 Dunn Road, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981.
