Herminia Ducasse

June 29, 1925 — September 13, 2018

Herminia Ducasse, 93, passed away on September 13, 2018 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Herminia was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to Fort Pierce, Florida in 2003 coming from New York.

She was a homemaker, grandmother and great-grandmother. “Koki” was a special nickname that was given to her by the grandchildren. Herminia had a love for reading, sewing, and Bingo. She was a great cook and had special dishes that she prepared for her family. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Vero Beach and enjoyed reading the Bible.

Survivors include her sons, Jose Hernandez, and Marcos Hernandez both of Fort Pierce, Florida; daughters, Gilda (Antonio) Velez of Fort Pierce, Florida, Lourdes (Larry) Timms of Maryland, Marcia Feliz, Betty (Jose) Batista both of Yonkers, New York, Lina Richardson of Middletown, New York; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her son, Miquel A. Ducasse.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
