She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on March 15,1969 and became a longtime member of the Lawnwood Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Her special interest was the public ministry, as she was well-known for sitting outside The House of Meats on N 25th St and Orange Ave making 'spiritual food' available to all who were interested. Other hobbies included attending congregation meetings, talking daily to close friends, feeding the birds and squirrels, and watching Channel 25 TV.

Her charitable giving included donating to the worldwide work of Jehovah's Witnesses in support of spreading the 'Good News of Jehovah's Kingdom', disaster relief and building places of worship.

Her famous motto was: "Give me my flowers while I am alive, because they won't doing me any good after I die"
