Hattie Jo Parks, 77, died December 8, 2017 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Ms. Parks was born in Grayson County, Virginia and has been a resident of Fort Pierce, Florida for the past 38 years coming from Churchville, Maryland.

Hattie worked at Bata Shoe Factory in Belcamp, Maryland for 10 years before moving to Florida. She retired after 25 years of service in the custodial department of Indian River Community College, Fort Pierce, Florida .

She is survived by her sisters, Jessie M. Parks-Cox, of Vero Beach, FL and Lillie P. Curry-Gerwan, of Fort Pierce, Florida; brother, David Parks, of Maryland and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Vance and Lillie Testerman Parks; brother, Ernest Parks.

Services: A visitation will be held on Friday, December 15 from 5:00-6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Homes Fort Pierce Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM.

Services in Maryland: A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, Maryland. Burial will take place at noon at Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air, Maryland.
