Gerald E. Kreiser, 79, passed away peacefully after a long illness, on April 23, 2020 at his home in Fort Pierce, Florida with his loving family by his side in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Jerry was born in Dearborn, Michigan, on January 31, 1941. He was raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and graduated from Pinecrest Preparatory School of Fort Lauderdale and the University of Miami. Jerry ran the Sierra Motel in Fort Lauderdale in the 1970’s, until moving to Stuart, Florida to build the Sierra Apartment complexes. Jerry and his lovely wife Susan moved to St. Lucie County where he spent the remainder of his life raising his four children, Christine, Michael, David, and Danny with his wife Susan. They were married for 52 years. Jerry and Susan enjoyed traveling together. Jerry was an avid hunter and fisherman, who also enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and classic cars.

Jerry had a long career in the business world and was a true entrepreneur; his business ideas included Kreiser Construction Company- building hundreds of homes and warehouses - with side companies like concrete, cabinetry, and land clearing. His other business ventures included Banana Boat Tanning products, cattle ranching and the founding of Plop-Jon and East Coast Recycling.

Jerry is survived by his children, Christine Kreiser Bell and son-in-law, Cal Harris and Daniel Kreiser and daughter-in-law, Dr. Angela Compton Kreiser; grandchildren, Jackie D’Onofrio, Tara Clark, Katie Trappy, Rachel Kreiser, Allie Fulton, Clarissa Bell and Lucas and Dana Kreiser; great-grandchildren, Lennix and Maddox Clark, Cora Trappy, and Maverick Fulton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Kreiser and sons, David and Michael Kreiser.
