Gale Suzanne Ivey, 73, passed away May 5, 2021 in Fort Pierce, FL.
Gale was born in Belleville, IL to Kenneth and June Goodroe on January 22, 1948.
She graduated from Palmetto High School in Miami, FL and attended Indian River Community College’s Cosmetology Academy.
Gale went on to work for the Saint Lucie County Clerk of Circuit Courts system where she retired after 27 years.
She leaves behind her son, James D. Ivey Jr. of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Summer Ivey-Platt (Marshall) also of Fort Pierce, FL; grandson, Chase Garrett Platt; sister, Morgen (Richard) Salas of Kearns, TX; niece, Caitlin Stuart of Plano, TX and her loyal companion, Loki. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James D. Ivey; mother, June Adams; father, Kenneth Goodroe; brother, Kenneth Goodroe Jr. and sister, Diane Goodwin.
A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Cobb’s Landing in Fort Pierce, FL.
