She moved from Alabama to Fort Pierce in 1945. She worked at Piper Aircraft for 10 years and Dandee Bakery for 15.
She is survived by her children; Betty McGee Smiley of Douglasville, GA, Elmer (Lisabeth) McGee of Ft. Pierce, FL, Linda McGee Jurkowski of Delray Beach, FL, and Kenneth Allen (Roberta) Ward of Panama City, FL. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren; Michelle (David) Felix of Ft. Pierce, FL, Chrissy (Andy) Coor of Wilmington, NC, Kimberly Smiley of Delray Beach, FL, Erin (Justin) Mills of Douglasville, GA, Candice Wilson of Pensacola, FL, Tanya Ward of Pensacola, FL, Timothy (Vanessa) Ward of Oklahoma, great-grandchildren; Essie Coor, Josie Coor, Liam Felix, Landon Felix, Gabriel Ward, Cody Mills, Casey Smiley, Maverick Ward, Arianna Ward, Alex Jeffries, and Lana Jeffries.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce.
