Enide Cherisma

September 27, 1931 — August 29, 2022

Enide “Kounie” Cherisma Elma was born on September 27, 1931 to Seraphin Cherisma and Clermise Telsaint in Bombardopolis, Haiti. She passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at the age of 90.

Enide was a compassionate and selfless woman. She loved her family and friends. Enide had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She found pleasure in cooking, keeping her house clean and caring for her loved ones. Enide had eleven children whom she loved dearly.

Enide was preceded in death by her husband Leon Elma; her parents Seraphin Cherisma and Clerminse Telsaint; her brothers Elivert and Lejenome Cherisma and sister Erita Cherisma; her sons, Demonthene “Ti Lepe” Elma, Emos Elma, Dioniste “Johnny” Elma, Wilbert Elma; and her daughters Cilia “Soule” Elma Demence and Ilda Elma Merdelus.

Enide also left behind countless friends and family including the Cherisma Family, Telsaint Family, Elma Family, Petit-Homme Family, Pericles Family, Metayer Family, and the Alceus Family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10Am to 11AM with a service to start at 11AM at Eglise Haitienne Bethanie De L' Alliance Church 230 SW North Wakefield Circle Port St. Lucie, FL 34953. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery Port St. Lucie, FL. A Repast will be held by the family at the Polish American Club 343 NW Prima Vista Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34953.
