E. Ray "Ergie" Greene

E. Ray “Ergie” Greene, 84, died January 1, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Greene was born in Richmond County, North Carolina and was a longtime resident of Fort Pierce, Florida coming from Rockingham, North Carolina.

Prior to retirement, Ray was an auto body repairman. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Fort Pierce.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Suzie Greene of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Laura (Michael) Morin of Winchester, TN, son, Tarry Greene of Rockingham, NC, son, Bob (Hope) Greene of Hamlet, NC, son, Donald (Beth) Marcum of Virginia Beach, VA, daughter, Pam (Mark) Mitchell of Winston-Salem, NC, daughter, Stacey (Kevin) Cason of Fort Pierce, FL, son, Travis (April) Sharpe of Cullman, AL; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Herman A. (Sally) Greene; sisters, Mary (Buddy) Greene Gathings and Evelyn Greene Covington and Dorothy Greene Brady. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Andrew Yoder, brother, William “Bill” Greene and sister, Edith Greene Ingram

Memorial contributions may be made to Garden City Rescue Mission, 828 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA 30903. Ray and Suzie served at Garden City Rescue Mission for five years.

Services: Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 11:00am-12:00pm with a service to follow at 12:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church, 2750 McNeil Road, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
