Dover Charles, 89, died February 13, 2022 in Williston, South Carolina.
Mr. Charles was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on September 24, 1932 and moved to Fort Pierce in 1955 with his twin brother Grover Charles.
Prior to retirement, Dover was a member of the International Brotherhood of Operating Engineers (Local 675). He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. He worked with heavy equipment most of his life and took great pride in the work he did. Ranching and farming were his passions, but most of all he loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary (Bobby) Wright of Williston, SC; son, Miles (Dannielle) Charles of Phoenix, AZ. 4 grandchildren, Justin (Monica) Maxwell, Arron (Shelby) Wright, Christian and Elizabeth Wright. 5 great-grandchildren Christopher, Zack, Amelia Kaylee, Grace and Alena a brother, Elster Charles of Newport, VA and sister, Pauline Bishop of Charleston, SC.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM with a service at 11:00 AM on February 26th 2022 at Haisley Funeral Home 3015 Okeechobee Rd, Fort Pierce, FL 34947.
