Donna Marie Ponte

Donna M. Ponte, 79, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away, August 10, 2019. Donna was born on November 7, 1939 in Albany, New York and moved to Poughkeepsie, NY at a young age, attending schools and enjoyed life there until her move to Florida in 1994.

Donna attended Albany Business College where she received her Associates Degree as a Medical Secretary.

Donna loved to spend her time with family and friends, cooking, entertaining and had a genuine enjoyment of life. She also served as the Board Secretary for the Heatherwood Community in St. Lucie West and was a member of St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Frank Ponte of Port St. Lucie, FL.; daughter, Carolyn Ponte of Atlanta, GA.; son, Michael Ponte of Cottekill, NY.; sister & brother-in-law, Shirley & Bill Lee of Saugerties, NY.; brother & sister-in-law, Dennis & Dorothy McCurdy of Tallahassee, FL. and sister, Maureen McCurdy of Vero Beach, FL.

A Visitation will be held at Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port St. Lucie, Florida on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a Memorial Mass on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church.
