Donald coached baseball in Fort Pierce for 30 years with FPLL and Babe Ruth and travel teams. He worked for Asplundh Tree Service and for the City of Fort Pierce Parks and Recreation Department. Donald was known by all for being a very caring person.
Survivors include; mother, Jessie Spells of Fort Pierce, Florida; sister, Brenda Curry of Fort Pierce, Florida; brother, Leland Spells of Fort Pierce, Florida; sister, Bobbie Jean Spells of Georgia; sister, Vivian Curry of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Darlene Spells of Fort Pierce, Florida; and brother, Ronald Spells of Georgia. He was predeceased by his father, Leland Spells.
