Attended and graduated from Rock Island High School. Attended Colorado State University as a Forestry Major.
Employed at IH Farmall in Rock Island, Illinois, and at Sears Manufacturing in Davenport IA until retirement.
Don was a true outdoorsman. Some of his greatest joys in life were to wake up early and go fishing or hunting. He especially enjoyed trout fishing in Northern Iowa with his sons. He was a true Chicago sports fan and was thrilled to watch the Cubs win the World Series. He was loved by all and will be missed by everyone whose life, he touched.
Survived by sons John and Jeff Carlson. Grandchildren Cathy, Kristin, Cody, Christopher, Steven, and Jordan Carlson; Haley Person; Joshua Gray; Kathryn Nowak; Korynne, Krysten, and Kelsey Tubbs; and Stephen Wylie. Great Grandchildren: Adrian, Kira, and Levi Carlson; Isaac and Jordan Gray; Landon Cook, Vayda Ewing, Kory and Kali Zacharakis
Predeceased by his parents Oliver and Louise Carlson, sister Shirley Carlson, brother Father Juvenal Carlson, and daughter Lisa Carlson.
Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2 pm at The Crossing Community Church at 8103 Indrio Road ,Fort Pierce FL
