Mrs. Calkins was born in Blossburg, Pennsylvania and moved to Fort Pierce in 1996 coming from Canton, Pennsylvania.
Dawn was the Valedictorian of her Canton high school graduating class and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA.
She worked for the St. Lucie County Property Appraisers Office for almost 20 years. She was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and loved plants, gardening, and cats.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Richard Calkins of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter, Jamie Calkins of Sebastian, FL; and sister, Tammy Lynn Kirkpatrick of Williamsport, PA.
Services: A gathering will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
