Daphine Carver Clement

May 23, 1944 — August 10, 2020

Daphine Carver Clement, 76, died August 10, 2020 in Hobe Sound, Florida.

Mrs. Clement was born in Douglas, Georgia and moved to Fort Pierce 56 years ago.

Daphine worked for many years at Stay & Play Daycare and loved all the children very much, but her grandkids were the true “apple of her eye”. They were her ray of sunshine, she would always say to them, “you are my sunshine”. She also worked at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center before retiring. She was also very talented at sewing and painting and truly enjoyed being outside and admiring butterflies.

Survivors include her daughters, Andrea Bemenderfer of Fort Pierce, FL, Bettina C. Johnson of Port St. Lucie, FL and Haley Clement of Tallahassee, FL; sister, Brenda Carver Baker of Sparta, GA; grandchildren, Kari Bemenderfer, Bryce McCune and Tanner Johnson all of Fort Pierce, FL, Amanda Clement of Tallahassee, FL and Brianna Baxter of Port St. Lucie, FL; great-grandchildren, Madison Hunter and Raelynn Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Clement, grandson, Mark Bemenderfer, sister, Lelouise Carver, and brother, James Carver.
