Christy Lynn Roberts

It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the passing of our sister and friend

Christy was born on January 14, 1972 to James (Butch) and Yvonne Roberts in Fort Pierce, Florida. As a native Floridian, she loved her hometown. As a child, she attended St. Anastasia Catholic School where she met her most valued friends. Despite her love for all things goat related, Christy was still popular in school. She graduated from John Carroll High School in 1990. After school, Christy worked in several local restaurants where she collected a following of her favorite customers. Recently, Christy obtained her CNA nursing license so she could follow her dream of helping people.

By far, Christy’s favorite hobby was fishing. In 2001, she helped create Get Lucky Fishing Charters and Tortuga Tanning Oils. Christy could usually be found at the Cove or Little Jim Bridge. In 2007, she joined the Getcha Some Fishing Team. Over the next few years, she traveled all over Florida and surrounding states fishing the SKA Kingfish Circuit. In 2007, her team placed 2nd at Nationals in Biloxi, Mississippi. It was here that she caught her biggest kingfish. Christy was also deeply involved in hosting local kingfish tournaments. She was quite the schmoozer and responsible for collecting some amazing prizes. Just recently, she was able to accomplish one of her lifelong dreams and traveled to Australia to fish with friends.

Christy is survived by sisters Michelle (Sparky) Sparks and Jamie (Scott) Feltman; brothers Michael Roberts and Joey Roberts (Crystal); nieces Sara Sparks and Allyson Roberts, nephew Jerrod Sparks; life mates Christian Dobrea and Jake Chester. Christy was also very close with Godmother Debbie Guettler and cousin Susie Cassens. It would be impossible to list all of her friends- she never met a stranger. Everyone was her best friend.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anastasia Catholic School and Treasure Coast Hospice. A celebration of life is scheduled for a later date.
