Arlene Anna Garbers (Fuhrhop), 85, died October 22, 2017 in Vero Beach, Florida.

Mrs. Garbers was born in Napoleon, Ohio on March 15, 1932 to William & Sophia (Gobrogge) Fuhrhop.

Arlene, a lifelong Lutheran, was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Port St. Lucie and an active member in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxilliary in Vero Beach as well as a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose in Vero Beach.

Survivors include her children, Gary (Kay) Garbers of Northwood, OH and their children, Brian & Jason (Brian has 4 children), Kevin Garbers of Fort Pierce, FL and his children, David (Caroline) & Matthew. Her sister, Loretta Cramer, sister-in-law, Ruth Fuhrhop along with many nieces and nephews living in Northwest Ohio, fondly remember their sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew, brothers, Bob, Elmer and Herb Fuhrhop and a sister, Marvelle Guilde.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 555 Cashmere Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 10:00AM-11:00AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church by Pastor Cris Escher. A second memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00AM at Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church in Hogate, Ohio, where Arlene attended when she visited her sister during summer months.
