William Rodney Dewson

William “Bill” Rodney Dewson, 77, died October 18, 2016 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Dewson was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce, Florida.

He retired from the U.S. Army as Major after 25 years of service. He also retired as a Captain of the Investigations Division of the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department after 30 years. He was a member of the MOAA (Military Officers Association of America), member of the Indian River Presbyterian Church and was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife, Sandi Dewson of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Rodney (Donna) Dewson of Fort Pierce, FL and Brad (DJ) Dewson of Sebastian, FL; sister, Shirley Burk of Fort Pierce, FL and 2 grandchildren, Asher and Griffin Dewson. He was preceded in death by his son, Matt Dewson.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Indian River Presbyterian Church, Fort Pierce.
