Walter Pietrzak

July 26, 1946 — June 16, 2017

Walter Raymond Pietrzak, 70, died June 16, 2017, in Stuart, Florida.

Walter was born in Queens, New York and was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL, since 2003 coming from Northport, NY.

There are so many things to say about a man who was the most loving grandfather, father; but most of all husband. A husband, who throughout the years of our marriage instilled a sense of love that was beyond our years. He was a husband, who inspired self-confidence, security, and embraces with the purest of mind, heart, and soul.

This man endured countless self-sacrifices that made him a successful business man, not just for him, but for his family as well.

As a sports fan, Walter truly loved watching the Mets play and was proud to share a community with them. In addition to sponsoring many local children’s sports teams; he helped raise money to help one of his own employees fight a senseless disease that ultimately took not just her life, but his as well.

Texas Hold ‘em was a card game Walter analyzed, studied, and played with brilliance. Many would pass the table Walter was playing at, knowing they had no chance of getting one up on him.

Being the captain of our boat, Walter found such joy in cruising the waters with his family and found blissful peace when casting his line into the unknown in hopes of catching the big one.

There are no amount of words to describe the many aspects of a man who was such an asset to the community; by creating jobs, giving opportunities and running one of the most successful and beautiful restaurants where the community could come together to share birthdays, holidays and celebrations of all kinds. A community he was proud to serve and be a part of.

All who knew this great man; knew he was a man of integrity, a man of pride, a man who was a friend, grandfather, father, and a man who was the most loving husband. What a huge loss this is not just for his family, but the community as well.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years Rosemarie Pietrzak of Port St. Lucie, FL ; daughters Tracy (Ron) Test and Kristie (Kevin) Jocelyn both of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons Matthew (Adrienne) Pietrzak and Paul Civitella both of Port St. Lucie, FL and Richard (Kiersten) Civitella of Dallas, GA; grandchildren: Kayley Test, Kacey Test, Kady Test, Hunter Pietrzak, Kira Civitella, Ember Civitella, and Jozlyn Stagner; sister, Sabra Boughton of Miller Place, NY and brother Edgar Boughton of Stratford, CT.
