Stanton Lee Redcliff

Stanton Lee "Bud" Redcliff, 80, of Ft. Pierce, passed away at home on May 27, 2016 after a brief illness.

Bud was born in Gilmer County, West Virginia and resided in Ft. Pierce, FL for 21 years after moving from Woodbridge, New Jersey. Bud graduated from Burnsville HS, class of 1953, then enlisted in the U.S. Army, stationed in West Germany. After his military service, he worked for 39 years in the Avionics Industry at various locations in NJ. Upon retirement, he moved to Ft. Pierce and started a machining business making specialty equipment used by scuba divers, big game fishermen, and alligator hunters.

Bud's hobbies included bowling, fishing, flying airplanes and listening to country music. He enjoyed travel and visited many places throughout the United States and abroad. Among his favorites was a return to Hinzerath, Germany, where he had been stationed while in the Army Signal Corps.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, B. Ann Redcliff, his brother, Lowell (Red) Swisher, his sister, Lois(Chee) & her husband Audie Kraft, his uncle, Warren Matheny, his aunt, Millie Matheny, and brother-in-law, Terry Kelley. Bud's children and their spouses are Robert Redcliff (Jacksonville, FL), William & Carolyn Redcliff (Karnak, TX), Julie Redcliff-Freebern & Neil Freebern (Arlington, VT), Robert & Denise Skinner (Marietta, GA), and Donald & Julie Skinner(Fort Pierce, FL). Bud has nine grandchildren, Zachary Redcliff, Brandon Redcliff, William Redcliff, Jr., Heather Redcliff, Anna Freebern, Tynan Rubin, Keith Skinner, Rachel Skinner, Amanda Skinner, and one great grandchild, William Lee(Trey) Redcliff, III.

He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Wayne Redcliff, his mother, Mary Swisher, his sister, Alma Jane Swisher, his brother, Kenneth Dwayne Redcliff, and his step-sisters Jaquelyn & Joreen Swisher.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 2nd at Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Road in Ft. Pierce. Military Honors and Interment will follow at White City Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to White City United Methodist Church, 810 West Midway Road in Ft. Pierce, or Treasure Coast Hospice.
