Sherman Burnett Pettey, 74, died November 16, 2015 in Live Oak, Florida.
Mr. Pettey was born in Fort Pierce and moved to Live Oak 10 years ago.
He was a deputy for the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Pettey of Live Oak, FL; sons, Johnny Pettey, III of Fort Pierce, FL and David Pettey of Live Oak, FL; daughter, Tracy Green of Fort Pierce, FL; stepdaughter, Dawn Stephens of Vero Beach, FL; stepson, Martin Green of Vero Beach, FL; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Pettey, sisters, Margrete Burns, Sara Pettey, and Lucille Clausen, son, Donny Pettey, and stepson, Todd Green.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 1-2 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
