Plummer Snook Worley

November 5, 1932 — February 21, 2017

Plummer A. Worley, 84, passed away on February 21, 2017 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Plummer "Snook" Worley was born November 11, 1932. He was a native of Charleston, WV and spent the majority of the first 33 years of his life in Charleston, with the exception of a 2 year stint in the Army, until moving to Fort Pierce, Florida in 1965. Snook did roofing and sheet metal work his entire life, including co-owning his own roofing business with his brother, Butch, from 1970 until COPD forced his retirement in early 2004.

Snook was married to the love of his life, Sarah "Jane" Worley. Snook and Jane had a loving and devoted relationship that endured over 60 years. He was a wonderful and loving dad to his 3 kids, sons Mark and Tim, and daughter Kay Long. His whole life revolved around his wife and kids. He also had a great love for animals, especially the large number of wild squirrels that he cared for each and every day.

Snook was loved and appreciated by almost all who knew him. He was a soft-spoken man who always gave of himself to anyone who needed help when he was able to do so. He surrendered his life to God within the last couple of years and we thank God immensely for His plan of salvation. It is because of God's faithfulness that Snook was able to be with the Lord after his passing on February, 21, 2017.

Snook is survived by his wife, Jane Worley and sons, Mark Worley of Fort Pierce, Tim Worley of Vero Beach, and daughter Kay Long of Fort Pierce. He is also survived by his brothers, Cleve Worley and Butch Worley, both of Fort Pierce, seven grandkids and nine great grandkids.

There is now a void in the lives of those that knew him that things of this world will never fill. His struggle with COPD is now over and he is with Jesus and happier than we can imagine. Memories of the life Snook lived here with us will comfort us until the day we join him in heaven. We love him and miss him beyond description and can't wait to see him again.

No public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the wonderful caregivers at Treasure Coast Hospice www.TCHospice.org
