Orfilio "Ofie" Pazos

March 26, 1935 — January 5, 2018

Orfilio “Ofie the Great” Pazos, 82, passed away peacefully in his home on January 5, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

He was born in Tampa, Florida and raised in Key West. He never met a stranger and left everyone with a smile. He loved his toys; motorcycle, big blue truck, four wheelers, trike, motorhomes, sailboat, speedboat, and more. His bumper sticker read, “He who dies with the most toys wins”.

He loved his life and many times would say, “If I died tomorrow, I have had a nice life.” He had friends from all walks of life and family meant everything to him. He loved his pets and cried like a baby when he lost them.

He leaves his wife of 38 years, Rose Guettler Pazos ; daughter, Chelsea and son-in-law Travis Myers and grandson, Greyson; son, Mark (Mary Padrick) Pazos Sr. and grandsons, Mark Jr. and Timothy Pazos; brother, Onelio (Kathy) Pazos. He was preceded in death by his two daughters, Lynn and Peggy Pazos.

Ofie has spent the last four years at the Alzheimer’s Community Day Care Center with the angels who loved him. We cannot say enough about how grateful we are for their services, kindness and compassion as we traveled along this road.

In March of this year, Hospice of Fort Pierce came on board and has also been a part of the team who made his journey easier. The angels from Hospice were helpful in so many, many ways.

In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to Alzheimer’s Community Care, 800 Northpoint Parkway Suite 101-B, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.

Services: A gathering will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 11-1 PM at the Haisley Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Pierce with a memorial service to follow at 1 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.
