Mary Ruth Ladley

November 21, 1943 — January 5, 2017

Mary Ruth Ladley was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 21, 1943. In the early morning hours of January 5th, 2017 God took her home to be one of his angels.

Mary was outspoken and stubborn at times. She, nonetheless, never missed an opportunity to make an impact on other’s lives. Sometimes, with her boisterous, contagious laugh. While at other times, it was her ability to be so straightforward she could leave a person paralyzed with shock; she was very proud of this. She was a sassy, feisty, dynamo woman; whether you liked it or not. There was never a dull moment and would not have it any other way.

Life was not always easy, but she managed to smile and make the most of it. She believed in turning lemons into lemonade and nobody went thirsty; there was always plenty to go around. The sacrifices she made were many; she often went without so the people she loved would not have to.

She always said she could throw another potato in the pot of soup and nobody ever went hungry; there was plenty of that too. Her door was always open, as well as, her heart and arms for the ones she loved and also for those in need, regardless if family, friend or stranger.

She will be greatly missed by everyone.
