Howard L. Campbell

Former Conneaut resident, Howard L. Campbell, 90, of Fort Pierce, FL, passed away Saturday morning, May 6, 2017. He was born June 21, 1926 in Albion, PA, and was the son of Donald and
Ruth (English) Campbell.

After graduation, Howard joined the US Navy serving for 6 ½ years during WWII and the Korean War. He then worked for the Merchant Marines as a ship officer for many years, retiring in 1991.
Howard was a member of the Evergreen Lodge #222, Ashtabula County Society of Scottish Rite Masons, 32nd degree, Cashe Commandry #76, the Royal Arch Mason of Ohio, Zem Zem Shrine of Erie, and the American Legion Cowl Post 151, where he was past Commander and served as Honor Guard. Howard was very active in the Conneaut Republican Club and enjoyed reading, especially about history.

He is survived by his wife Patricia A. (Mooney) Campbell, whom he married July 3, 1981.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Helen Holloway, Jean Marz, and Kathryn Ring; and his brothers Donald Campbell and Walter Campbell.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with Pastor Jan Walsh of New Leaf United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will follow in East Springfield Cemetery, East Springfield, Pennsylvania, with Military Honors conducted by the Conneaut American Legion Cowle Post #151.
Friends may call from 3:00 until 5:00 PM, on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the funeral home. Following visitation, Evergreen Lodge #222 F & AM will conduct services.

Contributions may be made to Shriners, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
