Hazel E. Case

Hazel E. Case, 98 years of age, passed away on Sept. 8, 2014 in Fort Pierce, Florida. A native of Fords, N.J. . Hazel graduated from Woodbridge High School, Woodbridge, N.J. in 1933. She then went to St. Peter’s General Hospital to study nursing. Hazel graduated and became a Registered Nurse in 1939.

Hazel moved to Fort Pierce in 1952 with her late husband Elmer and children, Nancy and Robert. She was employed in the family business of Lindquist Plumbing Company until her retirement in 1974.

Hazel was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, she was active in the Alter Guild, St. Cecelia/St. Martha Guild and Stephens Ministry. She was one of the first volunteers for Hospice of the Treasure Coast. Hazel was a Lifetime Member of the Elkettes and held several officer positions over the years. She was a member of the Woman’s Club serving as Secretary and First Vice President.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, in 1992 after 55 yrs of marriage. They enjoyed many years of traveling throughout the U.S. and many foreign countries.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy C. Williams and a son, Robert A. Case, Sr., 5 grandsons, Bobby Cardin, Bobby Jr., Wade and Cooper Case, and Duke Williams. Granddaughter Laraine Cardin; 6 great -grandsons, Brandon and Colton Case, Jimmy and Cody Cardin, Jake Williams, Drayton Ladley; 4 great granddaughters, Brittanie, Jaslynn, Mackenzie Case and Taylor Williams; many nieces & nephews including, Corinne Vrana, Mary Mosley, and Jimmy Dodge

Funeral Services conducted by Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, Florida.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the granddaughter and great granddaughters.

Friends may attend Haisley Funeral Home from 5:30 to 7:30 on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 210 South Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce, Florida at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, with internment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6026 U.S. 1 Fort Pierce, Florida.
