Grace Marie (Rich) Murphy, 90, died on September 16, 2017 at home on her beloved beach in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Grace was born in Port Chester, NY on November 27, 1926. Grace was raised in Greenwich, CT and lived in Rye, NY and Las Vegas, NV prior to retiring in 1989 to Fort Pierce. In addition to raising three sons, she worked side by side with her husband, Arthur, in their restaurant, "TAKU", in Harrison, NY and later as a casino slot cashier in Las Vegas, NV. She was and remained young at heart, and she was a confidant, friend, and an inspiration to all who knew her.
She will be very missed, especially by her sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Jeanne Murphy of Duxbury, MA, Brian and Elaine Murphy of Libertyville, IL, and Dennis Murphy of Fort Pierce, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Maryellen Murphy of Virginia, Stephen and Pamela Murphy of NY and Dorothy Rich of New Mexico; her five grandchildren Shane, Nola, Stacy, Taylor and Riordan; her sweet 6 great grandchildren; and by many nephews, nieces and friends.
She will be buried alongside her husband and loving parents and siblings at St. Mary Cemetery in Greenwich, CT. The family would like any memorial contributions to be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice services at https://treasurehealth.org/ways-to-give/donate/ or Donate Now | Treasure Health
