George Lewis Hickox, Jr

George L. Hickox, Jr 84, passed away July 3, 2017 in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
Mr. Hickox moved to Port Saint Lucie in 1992 coming from New Milford, Connecticut.
George was a U.S. Army Veteran. After graduating from the Connecticut Police Academy, he served as a constable in New Milford, Connecticut. He retired from the U.S. Post Office in New Milford, Connecticut. He was a Lifetime member of the VFW.
George loved working in the yard, fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include wife of 37 years, Betty Hickox of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; daughters, Laurie (Don) Jillson of Waterbury, Connecticut, and Eileen (Peter) Walentin of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; grandchildren, James Dwyer, III of Orange County, California, Devon (Cassandra) Dwyer of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Blake Dwyer of Waterbury, Connecticut, Melanie Jillson of Waterbury, Connecticut, Julian Montes of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Gabriel and Aislynn Walentin, both of Port Saint Lucie, Florida. He was preceded in passing by his parents, George and Mary Hickox; brothers, Robert and Warren Hickox.

A gathering will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 1PM to 2PM with a service to begin at 2PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34984.
